Rocket Fuel In Our Drinking Water E-mail
Thursday, 16 April 2009 14:18

There is a significant amount of rocket-fuel, or more specifically perchlorate, in Americans’ drinking water, especially in South Western States such as California, Nevada, and Colorado.

It is also in our lettuces (shipped all over the country), in our milk, and in our fertilizer. The EPA (a government agency) doesn’t think clean-up is necessary, but independent environmental groups such as EWG beg to differ:  according to them, the level of perchlorate in our drinking water should be one-tenth the level authorized by the government. The current levels of perchlorate are believed to interfere with thyroid function and pose developmental health risks.
