Although expected to be smaller in 2009 than in 2008, the ozone hole is still bigger than North America!

On Sept 16, 2009, international Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer, it measured a whopping 24 million square kilometers, allowing harmful and cancer-causing UV radiation to enter the stratosphere.
